After nearly a decade of traveling with our kids, Covid came along and changed everything!
Meet the Whitson Family
Chris & Yana grew up near farming all their lives. In 2020 the world showed how unprepared it was to provide basic needs to families during a pandemic. We got our hands on 21 acres of old vineyard land south of Albuquerque and got to work creating new kind of food business.
Chris has over a decade of food and hospitality expertise. From managing operations for Outback Steakhouse & Hilton Hotels to overseeing the food production & dining service distribution for what was at the time the largest privately-owned foodservice company in the United States...we are making a wide variety of services, foods, and products available to local consumers while charging a flat rate.

Covid exposed a large number of problems with our food system. Bomvida farms sidesteps those problems. Since we have a recurring fee, there's no price surpises. Our members have access to whatever we make...just ask!
Aside from seasonality, we aim to be able to provide for the entire membership. We only open membership slots when we have the ability to support a household.
We social distance, even outside. By using an open air space the chances of catching something here is insanely small. We can even allow a members a specific time slot to come to the farm so they are the only person other than our staff to pick up their groceries. Get some fresh air, have a conversation with a pig or goat, get the food you like...all on your terms.
Customize your experience
We're building YOUR farm. The first building we started on the farm was a commercial kitchen. We can prepare food items any way you like them. If you want food vacuum sealed and frozen...we can do that. If you want dehydrated soup mixes, done. We intend to use our restaurant and food manufacturing experience to make sure you are comfortable using our products in your own home.
In the future, we intend to have on-farm dining for our members. Give us a heads up and we'll get ready for you. How many food businesses are building that for you?
